My Macho Peas

No Stove Needed

These frozen peas dressed up taste exactly the same as the Macho Peas from the delicious restaurant, Nando's Peri Peri. 


I can't get enough of them because they are high in protein, healthy, and just spicy enough for me!

My Macho Peas

Serves 4


𝐈𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:

  • 16 oz frozen peas

  • 3 tbsp fresh mint, finely minced

  • 2 tbsp flat leaf Italian parsley, finely minced

  • 1 tbsp + 1 tsp sambaal oleek

  • 3 tbsp EVOO

  • 1/4+ tsp (to taste) sea salt

𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝:

  1. Microwave your peas in a large bowl according to the packages instructions.

  2. Take out 1 cup of the peas and process in a food processor. (This is yet another reason I love my mini processor. Its perfect for quick little jobs like this!

  3. Pour the processed peas back into the bowl with the whole peas. Add in the remaining ingredients and stir to combine. 

That's it! Seriously, that's it.
